Netcare TOPP Programme
What is TOPP?
Training Outside Public Practice (TOPP) is an alternative route for accounting trainees who want to qualify as Chartered Accountants (SA). Training takes place in the commerce and industry sector, as opposed to Training Inside Public Practice (TIPP), which is conducted in the traditional external audit environment. A detailed comparison between TIPP & TOPP can be viewed on the SAICA website.
The TOPP Programme was established in 1997 by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and was motivated by the fact that a vast majority of Chartered Accountants took up positions in commerce and industry upon qualifying.
